How to Choose Your Tool Belt Size

1. Put on your normal work clothes.

2. Measure where the belt will sit.
Wrap a tape measure around your waist where you plan to wear the tool belt, usually just above the hips.

3. Choose the size that includes your measurement.
ModBelt HD is sized by actual waist measurement in inches, not pant size.

4. If you expect to wear heavy layers and/or you're on the top end of the range, size up.

Example:
If you measure 39", choose Small or Medium.
Choose Medium if you plan to wear thicker layers.

Note From Josh:

We spent a lot of time testing different pad shapes, thicknesses, and layouts to get the fit right. The goal was something that naturally follows the body, distributes weight well, and stays comfortable even when you're wearing it for long stretches.
The result is a belt that feels stable without feeling bulky.
 
The system also includes suspenders' attachment points, so you can run it with suspenders when you want to shift weight off your hips and onto your shoulders. It’s an easy way to stay comfortable when you’re carrying a heavier setup.
 
Another piece we spent a lot of time on was the buckle. We actually designed it from scratch.
 
Most buckles we tested had something we didn’t like. Either bulky, awkward to release, or they slipped when you really cinched them down. So instead of settling, we built our own. We removed the stuff that didn’t work and added the features we always wanted in a tool belt buckle: a secure slide-release for quick on and off and a cam adjustment that locks tight and won’t slip once it’s set.
