Can You Add Modular Holsters to Your Existing Tool Bags and Tool Belts?

Many tool belts and tool carriers are not modular on their own. Sometimes you need an extra magnet on the front, or your only drill spot is in the way for a specific project. With a traditional tool belt, it can feel like you are stuck with the preset layout you originally bought. But with Holstery modular holsters, you get to choose where your tools hang while still using the belt you have trusted for years.

And it is not just large tool belts that can be customized. Veto Pro Pac bags, classic Diamondback tool belts, chest rigs, vests, and more can all be adapted. Modularity can go as far as you want it to. Whether you are looking for a fully customizable setup from the ground up or just a few long needed additions to your existing belt, there are options available.

Below are two examples of how tradespeople in the field are customizing their setups with Holstery.

Holstery on the Diamondback 701 HighViz Vest

While the Diamondback 701 tool vest lacks the same structural rigidity as ModRig, it lends itself well to customization with Holstery. In the image above, a MagMaster placed near the top holds screws as well as electrical tape. This is a strong demonstration of how one addition can serve multiple use cases. A Joey Pouch mounted lower on the vest provides additional storage and a secure location for frequently used tools.

There is still some space remaining on this vest. One potential upgrade would be adding a PinPal for an M12 Milwaukee impact driver so it can hang securely. While it could be attached to the silver tabs on the vest, those tabs may not be rigid enough to support a heavier drill. In that case, a ModRig would provide a stronger mounting foundation and expand customization options even further.

Holstery on the Durawork Dura 102 Chest Panel

Here we see a more structured, pro level chest panel system. The centrally placed MagMaster suggests versatility and multiple uses within this setup. The DriverMaster mounted at the base of the vest keeps a Milwaukee M12 impact front and center, accessible and secure. The rest of the vest appears thoughtfully configured with additional carry solutions.

If this tradesperson wanted to expand their setup further, using a ModRig would create more mounting space and increase overall customization capacity. This is a great example of how Holstery’s modular system integrates seamlessly with many other tool carry platforms, allowing you to build your tool belt or chest rig exactly the way you want it.

These are just two of the many options available with Holstery gear. Our goal is not only to help someone build a fully customized system from scratch using Holstery products. We also design our modular holsters to work with the gear you already own. You do not have to replace your setup to upgrade it. With the right modular additions, you can turn almost any belt, vest, or bag into a fully personalized, professional tool carry system.
